juwi solar Sells Its Largest Solar PV Project to Date in the US

juwi solar Inc. said today it will sell its 16 megawatt (MW) DC Blue Wing Solar Project in San Antonio, Texas to Duke Energy Generation Services (DEGS). The Blue Wing Solar Project was developed, designed and permitted by juwi solar and includes a 30-year power purchase agreement with CPS Energy, one of the nation’s largest municipally-owned utilities.

As part of the transaction, juwi solar will also provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the project and will operate the facility for DEGS in the initial years. "The project has brought together quality leaders in the utility-scale energy generation industry, including Duke Energy, CPS Energy, First Solar and SMA,” noted Michael Martin, managing director of juwi solar.

“The solar industry will thrive so long as technologically-sound suppliers, innovative utility companies, reputable construction companies, and communities such as San Antonio and Bexar County support projects like Blue Wing.”
