10 Reasons To Go Solar

1.Feed-in Tariffs (FiTs) have started but you need to move quickly! Join now and get a 400% return. Join later and get 0%. That’s £4 back for every £1 you generate. That’s £1,650 per year. That’s £41,250 over 25 years (average residential system). Commercial buildings will be many multiples of this!

2. This 400% grant/FiT means that you get paid for generating electricity, you don’t even pay for what you use, AND you get bonus payment for every kWh you export back to the National Grid. Because these tariff levels are set by the government, the payback period is guaranteed! This makes solar safer than cash.

3. Being a solar pioneer in your sector can generate huge levels of free publicity for your business. If you’ve earned the media coverage, it means that there’s something worth writing about. In our experience, an editorial 10 times more powerful than an advertisement.

4. Energy prices are expected to triple by 2015. So the question to ask is not should
your business transition to renewable energy, it's when. Imagine getting rid of your
electricity bill completely? Now that WOULD give you a competitive edge!

5. Going solar will improve your property's Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
rating. So the greener your building (owner or tenant) the less tax (council tax and
business rates) you will have to pay.

6. Ambitious CO2 reduction targets (80% by 2050) are now enshrined in UK law.
Buildings account for around 40% of the total CO2 so businesses will have no choice
but to play an active role in reducing these - or face hefty tax rises if they don't.
Don't be one of those left behind, paying the most tax!

7. There will be a two-tier market of 'green/'non green' buildings with 'non-green'
ones losing value and becoming increasingly difficult to let and secure finance
against. Green buildings will thrive and will have people queuing up for them... just
like at PV Generation.

8. Productivity increases as much as 15% and absenteeism lowers by 14% when an
office is retrofitted to greener standards.

9. Most companies will pay more in rent in order to occupy a sustainable building.

10. You need to move quickly if you are to benefit from the high yields currently
availability. 400% grants are due to end in 2011 but they could end tomorrow if the
pot runs out, which it will!
